So I get a message from this production company on my artist myspace earlier asking me to open for a band called, "Killing Red Addiction," a Japanese band that apparantly features member(s) from X Japan. o_O The show's in May at the Whiskey-a-go-go in LA, apparantly.

First off, has anyone actually heard of this band? I mean, the only member of X I could see logically being in it would be Heath, right?
@_@ Regardless of whether this band is real or not, I'm sure the offer is a scam. I kinda lol'd when I read it. xD Please do let me know about killing red addiction if anyone's heard of them, however, I'm curious now. o.o

Also, I recently cut my hair- it's the shortest it's ever been. =O It's so strange. xD It kinda looks like Trowa's hair now, though, so I'm happy.

Okay. So I ttly just saw someone parachute into a boxing ring on t.v... Don't ask why I was watching boxing, it just kinda happened. Boxing is stupid, btw. >.< But he just kind of... drifted in and crash landed into the audience next to the ring. ...Weird.

Anyways, currently at my grandparent's in front of two different computers doing ten different things at the same time. I tried to teach my Grandpa how to play Duel Monsters earlier, but he had a WTF MY BRAIN HURTS half way through my explanation of monster cards and how to attack your opponant. Needless to say, we ended playing no children's card games. frowny face. But yes, currently cistening to Gravitation music and searching for pictures of Miya/Kaoru to print out to show the dude that cuts my hair what I want. Yiss, I'm getting an uber boy cut for the first time ever. I'm really starting to put a lot of effort into transitioning. I can't tell you how much the "Thank you, miss," and "Come again, ma'am,"s are pissing me off. I'm quite done with it. I really want to start T, but I don't have the money for a therepist, I have no insurance and I don't know anyone I could acquire it illegally from. =( lol

Anyways, I've been playing Gaia lately, and my avatar has given me inspiration for a character I've created. I don't know if I'll ever write anything about him, but he would fit into the Yuu Yuu Hakusho universe or maybe even InuYasha. He's like a dragon-person. @___@ Whatever. He looks super cool. XD So yes, I drew him today and coloured him. (on photobucket XD) I also drew some Yuugiou crap, mostly the main three cards I use in my deck. Both pics are below! =D

I've also been officially exposed to this season's American Idol contestants. I like Adam What'shisname and Megan Joy Something. If you haven't heard them yet, Look up Adam's version of "Ring of Fire" and "Satisfaction" and Megan's "Walking After Midnight" and "Black horse and the Cherry Tree" I love Adam's creativity on the first and he just plain blew me away on Satisfaction; Megan sounds very soulful and New Orleans bluesy. =D

I seem to do this, don't I? I go forever without posting then I type up a monster post all of the sudden to make up for it... XD Oh well, I'll stop now and give your f-lists some peace.

By the way, Ikuni- I'll be back tomorrow after lunch. If you guys want to go see the movie when your mom gets off of work, that'll work for me. =D

Attack of Naraku, the tentacle monster!

Today... I got the gift of greenery. (Try saying that five times fast) Technically, I didn't get any NEW plants today, but I am bringing all of my plants home with me from my grandparent's house. I miss my babies! T^T

This morning, my grandparents, along with my mother, picked me up so we could all go out to eat for my birthday. We ended up dining at PF Chang's, which is a really nice Chinese Restaurant, but was surprisingly cheap.

Anyways, on the way back to my grandparent's house, we stopped and bought a flower pot so I could re-pot my Sansevieria plant:

His name is Amando, and he is nowhere NEAR as tall as the above picture yet, but despite his "supposed" slow growth rate, he has shot up like a weed since I bought him last year. The only thing holding him back was the size of his pot, since after his initial growth spurt (and subsequent collision with the sides of the pot), he immediately ceased growing. Well, upon unrooting him, I discovered why. His root system was wrapped around the inside of the pot several times over, like a giant cobweb. T^T My baby wanted out! lol Anyways, he's happily sitting in a new 5" pot now with room to grow. =D

Also, ^ my Jade Plant, Yui, ^ has been behaving strangely lately, dropping leaves and snapping almost completely at the base, so I'm trying something out. I cut a couple clippings from her, and right now they're soaking in a cup of water. I'm going to take them back as they are, so when they begin to root, I'll plant them and attempt to grow them out, instead of up, since I think her main problem was too much weight. =O Hopefully this works. I don't want to lose her.

Lastly, my Night Blooming Cereus, a.k.a. Dutchman's Pipe, a.k.a. "Epiphyllum Oxypetalum" has practically expolded since the last time I saw him, and when I say "exploded" I mean as in an explosion of tentacles and fibers and other weird shit- Naraku style. =D I've even decided to name him Naraku, since I couldn't think of anything suitable when I first got him. Anyways, I acquired him as a clipping from a 100 year old mother plant, but I've never really taken the time to learn about him. So today, I looked him up and OMGWTF. xD He's so weird. These things can grow to be as tall as a tree or a house, if they have one to climb on, up to maybe nine feet tall alone. (Don't worry, Ikuni, he's nowhere NEAR that tall yet and it takes years and years for them to reach those heights xD) Anyways, the kind I have comes from Central America and parts of Asia (I think he's related to the monster from "The Ruins") but the coolest thing about them, is their flowers.

These guys bloom only once a year (typically, depending on how fickle the plant is and where it's located) usually on a midsummer's night. And I do mean night. Once the pods are ready to bloom, they start opening at around nine or ten in the evening and reach their peak at twelve to three a.m. Then, they close up and die just after sunrise. The flowers are HUGE and white, and grow directly off the sides of the leaves in standard tentacle form. The flowers are extremely fragrant as well, like, LEGENDARY, apparantly. People have parties strictly for watching the blooming of one. And you CAN watch it too. From what I've read, the pods twitch and sway as they open, and it happens so rapidly that you can see it bloom. xDDD I am SO excited. Naraku is so kickass it hurts. Picture!spam helps j00 see why:

Okay, so I just did 25 sit-ups, 10 push-ups and 50 jumping jacks. Lack of exercise has always been an issue with me, and it also heavily fuels depression and stress.

So I figure I'm actually going to try doing this every day from now on. I'm tired of always feeling so out of shape and lethargic. Yaaay, execrise. I already feel quite a bit better. =)

Okay, so I just did a massive friends cut. I think I removed like, 21 people. @__@

Anyways, most of the people I removed are old school friends who no longer update or whom I no longer like, fanfiction authors whom I do not know personally (I have a new fanfiction journal, so if I really liked your work, I'll probably add you there.) and comms I no longer watch/post to. Therefore, as far as most people are concerned, I don't hate you or anything. I'm just tidying up a bit. Okay, so I'm the biggest dumbass ever, officially. I was somehow shanghaied into clicking on this link: www.instituteforhumancontinuity.org/ and for a brief couple of minutes I ALMOST believed that this was a real organisation. >.>

...Feel free to mock me, tease me, whatever. I ttly almost bought it. Until I saw the bits about the space colonies and the lunar base. I'm sure that we'll enter a Gundam-like era one day, but there's no way the government could have managed to hide whole space colonies without some kind of leak before now. o__O
Anyways, I clicked on the terms of use or whatever and it turns out that the site is part of Sony Pictures. So maybe this is going to be some new movie??? The whole lottery thing really creeped me out, it reminded me of some whacked out sci-fi movie so maybe that's what we'll be getting. Hmm. I think I'm rambling. So I was just talking to Ari about Jun, which led me to watching more of his PVs on youtube, which led to the "KUJIRA" PV. Now we had just been discussing how much he reminds us of hide, and how much I think it's on purpose. Now, I don't necessarily mind, since he sounds good, just like I kind of hold the opinion that Versailles music usually sounds like an X Japan cover, but again, it's okay because they're amazing.

Anyways, Jun has always seemed to mimic hide in a way, but when I listened to "My name is KUJIRA" this time I finally figured out what it was that it reminded me so strongly of.

.....I find it intensely funny that last night, on a whim, I decided to update my bio and include a passage about how I detest drama and rumour-mongering and how I think that lj is like the girl's locker room of JRock fandom and I want no part in it, then this morning I discover an ex friend has accused me of getting on jrockanon, of all places, and spreading nasty rumours about him.

Secondly, the money. I do feel bad for that, but A.) You gave it to me of your own free will, I even told you you didn't have to. You said don't worry about it, you had enough to give. I remember that clearly. B.) I was actually planning on paying you back when I was planning on moving in with you, obviously. But, if you recall, you never got an apartment like you said you would and ended up homeless and on the streets. Secondly, YOU WERE DOING DRUGS AROUND MY FRIEND'S TEN YEAR OLD WHEN YOU PROMISED ME THAT NOTHING ILLEGAL WOULD COME INTO THE HOUSE. I told you before that I would leave if you brought drugs into an apartment I was staying with you in. So today's been interesting so far. I woke up at around 10 (which is early for me) and promptly received a phone call from the post office, stating that they have no way of finding my lost package (yes, the 30 gallon tub) and therefore I must write a letter to the Atlanta Recovery Center describing my tub so that they can try to trace it. ... >.< So I am quickly losing hope that I will ever see it again.

Anyways, because of this whole shipping misshap, I am missing most of my shoes, including two individual boots, both of which cost around $50-$60. So, I decided to get a new pair of shoes today, since all of the shoes I have currently are, for some reason, red and do not go with clothes that are not red or neutral. >.<

So I ventured out into what felt like 20 degree weather to the mall to buy some shoes. I actually wore make up today, for the first time in a while, and because of this, I suppose, I was stopped twice by the same make-up stand in the mall and practically begged to buy some funky eyeshadow for $10. Maybe I was radiating some kind of victim-esque customer vibe or something...
Anyways, HotTopic was shit, as always, and they were out of my size in the one pair of boots I liked, plus the sales associate was a total asshat, so I ended up searching elsewhere for shoes. Finally, I found a pair I liked in some little shop, and again, wouldn't you know, they were out of my size. They did, however, have the next size DOWN, which is a 4 in men's, or should I say "boy's" >____<u And apparantly, my feet have shrunk or something, because they ttly fit. o__O
So yes, I now have a pair of black converse boots with little bitty pockets on the side in case I ever decide to become a drug dealer or something and need a little shoe pocket to hide my crack. >.<

But yeah, I haven't had anything to eat today besides an apple chai latte at StarBucks, so I'm going to go get some lunch now. ...dinner? Whatever. Food. =)

Dear god, it's finally almost over. Only an hour to go until 2009.

So, of course, all day today I find myself replaying this past year in my head and looking at the good and the bad of it all, and although I would not go through the massive tons of emotional, financial and mental SHITE this year has heaped upon me again for any sum of money, I do have to admit that even though 2008 has been the WORST year of my life by a long shot, it has also been the best. And I've learned to see the silver lining, so to speak, because it has only been through the bad times that some of the most amazing times of my life have been allowed to occur.

In March of this year, I not only became a legal adult, but on the same day, I saw MUCC and D'espairs Ray at RTOC in Chicago, which was, coincidentally, my first concert. Not only did I get the chance to see MUCC, but at this concert, they played BOTH Libra and FUZZ, something they apparantly, had not done at the previous shows. I was expecting one or the other, but was given both. After the show, we got the opportunity to meet the band, and I got a hug from everyone, along with Tatsurou's autograph on my arm, which I had tattooed later that same night- my first tattoo.
At the end of March, my girlfriend Ikuni and I broke up.

In early June, I believe it was, I recieved my High School diploma (with honours, shockingly enough) and said goodbye to the public schooling system forever.

In July, I flew in an airplane for the first time to Los Angeles to stay with a new friend I was considering moving i with. I actually flew in on the 4th of July, right over top of fireworks in LA. Only a day later, LM.C played at Crash Mansion, and I attended, although I had only started listening to them days previously, in order to be well versed for their concert. Talk about a cram session, I was memorising Sentimental Piggy Romance up in the clouds. Anyways, LM.C was the most fun I have ever had at a live. I got to touch Maya's hands, hair ~~and ass~~ as well as Death-O ~~who has a very lovely ass too~~ and I also caught JayKay's water bottle, which I still have and will occasionally drink from ~~if I want good luck~~. Also at the concert, I met several new friends, along with the lovely Hentai, who would go on to play a large role in my life later on.
Anyways, I spent a week in LA total, exploring and falling in love with the city. I wasn't enthralled with my would-be roomate, but I decided I could live with his dysfunctions. I flew back to Kentucky with the intention to pack up and move.

Which I did. Early August I packed 8 boxes of crap and mailed them to my friend in LA, but I flew to Arizona to spend some time with Hentai and his son first. I had been talking to Hen online ever since I had returned home, and we clicked pretty quickly. Well, a week soon turned into a month with Hen, and plans to get to LA kept falling through, mainly because my roomate was falling apart, and I think I was starting to subconsciously get cold feet about living with him.
But then we found out that Sugizo was going to be performing with JUNO REACTOR and doing a meet n' greet in LA towards the end of September, so I decided to go with Hen and Chibi to that, then just stay there when they left.
Well, without going into explicit detail about the epiphany that was seeing Sugizo play with these guys, let's just say that I had tons of fun and met so many more great people at the signing and concert.
However, again- without going into detail, the situation with my roomate was a steep downward spiral and by the time Hen and Chibi were getting packed to leave, I knew I couldn't stay in that situation. So after the most stressful day of my life, which consisted of informing said roomie that I was leaving and several other events that I would rather not mention, I found myself heading back to the middle of nowhere, AZ to attempt living with Hen.
I love Hentai, I really do. It wasn't because of him that I ended up leaving, not like the guy in LA, instead, the situation and the location ended up being far more than I could handle. So a very long and stressful story cut short, after 3 weeks working at WalMart and still being dead broke and depressed, I phoned home and asked to be bailed out. Unfortunately, due to another long story that I would rather not get into, the only flight I could catch back to Kentucky during Thanksgiving weekend was right before Dir en grey played Tempe and LA.
Meaning, of course, that I was forced to miss seeing them AGAIN. Not going to go into how much that upset me.
Fortunately, however, my flight ended up being direct and only around three hours, and before midnight, I was back home, sobbing and clutching my mother in the middle of Louisville Stradiford Airport. It was good to be home.
Also, I forgot to mention above, but somewhere in all of this, I had reconciled with Ikuni and we decided that we couldn't live without each other after all.
So when I returned home, it was to move in with her. <3
Unfortunately, 2008 has decided to drag it's nails across me until the very end, because within the last month, I have somehow ended up losing a 30 GALLON TUB in the mail that contains some of the most important material objects to me IN THE WORLD and which I am still trying to locate and retrieve, I have not yet fond a job, I have sunk deeper into my newfound depression, lethargy and self-loathing and my mother has suddenly seen fit to dump her disapproval and homophobia upon me and my girlfriend in an astonighing display of "Christmas Spirit"

So I'm sorry to spam you with my massive dump of a blog, but this new year had better be a fucking good one.
I was totally in a good mood when I started this, and was planning on sinply highlighting the good points of 2008, but now I'm just pissed all around looking back on this shit.

So Happy Fucking New Year, everybody.
Try not to kill yourselves or anything in 2009.
Lord knows I'll be trying not to.
